Dinner & Cocktails on the Creek

Have you ever thought of helping a child of a fallen or disabled veteran? Or maybe helping a child whose veteran parent has fallen on hard times and needs a little financial support? Our veterans have given so much to secure our freedom and our safety, and they have earned our support as a way of thanking them for their sacrifice. The sad truth is that the support these veterans so rightly deserve is often lacking, and as a result, it is their children who frequently go without. Our organization, GTM Golf Foundation for Kids, a charitable, 501(c)(3) corporation worked with American Legion Post leaders to identify those children of veterans who have a compelling desire to succeed and who are most deserving of our help.

This was our first event. It was designed to introduce ourselves, our mission, our upcoming plans and attract future donors. The evening included games, cocktails, a wonderful buffet, music & dancing. We had over 70 attendees from the Richmond area. We introduced our Board members and our President gave a brief overview of our founding, our mission, progress to date and future plans. At the end of the evening, we granted Comfort Zone Camp $7,500.
